Roles and Permissions

Depot users are assigned roles and permissions, which allow them to see and use different functions.

  • To see which role you have been assigned, go to My Profile in the Admin screen.
  • To restrict which vehicles a user has access to, see Manage Fleets.

 

Your vehicle's plan determines your access level to screens and reports. Please contact sales@eroad.co.nz if you wish to request a change of Service Plan.

 

The features listed below assume that your organisation has the Premium Plan applied to your vehicles.

Role

User access level for the vehicles they have been assigned

Super Basic User (for assigned vehicles only):
  • Activity - location only view
  • My Profile
  • Service User Role can be granted
Basic User (for assigned vehicles only):
  • Activity
  • Event Log
  • Daily Activity Report
  • My Profile
  • Service User Role can be granted
Service User (for assigned vehicles only):
  • Service screen
  • Service Report
  • My Profile
  • Fleets - Read-only view of fleets to which access has been granted
Messaging User (for assigned vehicles only when messaging is enabled):

Reporting User (for assigned vehicles only):

  • Fleets - Read-only view of fleets to which access has been granted

RUC User (for assigned vehicles only):

Ehubo Admin (can only be added to Unit Manager):
  • Manage Ehubos
Unit Manager (Allows full access for vehicles in assigned fleets - no user management. The Allow Geofence Access checkbox is enabled by default, and this role may view/edit geofences. You can disable this checkbox to restrict access by hiding the Geofence tab in the Activity menu.):
