Fuel Economy

Fuel management with respect to emissions gives insights into both overall efficiency and fossil fuel splits.

When burned:

  • 1 litre of petrol produces 2.31 kg of CO2-e.
  • 1 litre of diesel produces 2.68 kg of CO2-e.

This number is largely dependent on the accuracy of fuel data. It might not fully take into account ‘fuel theft’ (where fuel totals are inaccurately reported due to logistical reasons). Contact EROAD to discuss issues around fuel theft.

Fuel consumption

A straight total of litres bought – in whatever fuel types – for the filtered period/group.

Distance travelled

The total distance traversed by the filtered period/group.

Estimated emissions - CO2-e

Petrol and Diesel consumption totals are individually multiplied by their respective conversion factors and totalled here.

Top Savers and Top burners in this graph are listed by group (fleet). Managing groups with respect to fuel consumption may assist in identifying operational segments due for service or replacement.

Top Savers and Top burners in this graph are listed by vehicle. Managing groups with respect to fuel use may assist in identifying vehicles needing route changes or urgent maintenance.
