Idle Report

Idle helps identify and correct problems with driver behaviour, resulting in better fuel efficiency and reduced engine wear and tear. The report lists the vehicles that have stopped (or idled) for over 5 minutes, with the ignition on.

Idle2

Overview tab

The Overview lists the vehicles that have stopped (or idled) for greater than 5 minutes, with the ignition on.

The report has a date selector (use the arrows or dropdown date selector to change) and filtering by fleet, vehicle/driver, and by event totals/ time spent idling over the selected period (current day data is excluded from this report.)

Vehicles idling for less than 5 minutes are not presented.

Filtering By Driver requires EROAD’s Driver ID module enabled.

Idling detail tab

To see details of idling events per vehicle/driver, either:

  • Hover over the colored idle ranges: event and time totals with pop-up
  • Tap an idle range: The Idle details tab opens for that specific vehicle and presents a map centered on the event(s).
  • Tap the Idling detail tab: the Idling details tab opens for either the first listed item, or the last selected item.

The purpose of Idling detail is to identify where and when idling events occur. You’re presented with the date-bounded list of idling events, their time band color tint, basic details, and the map.

Tapping an event on the left locates the event on the map.
