Roles and Permissions

MyEROAD users are assigned roles and permissions, which allow them to see and use different functions.

To see which role you have been assigned, go to My Profile in the Admin screen.
To restrict which vehicles a user has access to, see Manage Fleets.

Your vehicle's plan determines your access level to screens and reports. Please contact your EROAD Account Manager if you wish to request a change of Service Plan.

The features listed below assume that your organisation has the Premium Plan applied to your vehicles.

Permission

Description

Financial

Permits specific users to make financial transactions (purchasing allowances, payment modifications, etc.) through MyEROAD.

Financial Permission is appointed to other qualifying roles by a Client Administrator.

Super Basic User (for assigned vehicles only):	Activity - location only view My Profile Service User Role can be granted
Basic User (for assigned vehicles only):	Activity Event Log Daily Activity Report My Profile Service User Role can be granted
Service User (for assigned vehicles only):	Service screen Service Report My Profile Fleets - Read-only view of fleets to which access has been granted CAN data access (ECM service plan-dependent)
Messaging User (for assigned vehicles only when messaging is enabled):	Activity Messages Tab Daily Activity Report My Profile Service User Role can be granted
Reporting User (for assigned vehicles only):	All Reports My Profile Fleets - Read-only view of fleets to which access has been granted Service User Role can be granted CAN data access (ECM service plan-dependent)
Tax User (USA)	Several operational reports, plus IFTA WMT Offhighway fuel IRP VTR View Fleets - Read-only view of fleets to which access has been granted Manage Geofences Service User Role can be granted
Tax User (AUS)	Several operational reports, plus FTC FBT View Fleets - Read-only view of fleets to which access has been granted Manage Geofences Service User Role can be granted
Audit User (USA)	Has limited access to tax reporting for auditing purposes.
Group RUC User (NZL)	Requires Unit Manager role May only VIEW RUC transactions if user has access to the paying account May not buy RUC Otherwise, has same access as RUC User.
RUC User (NZL) (for assigned vehicles):	Several operational reports, plus RUC Purchasing RUC Reports (purchase history and expenditure) Off-Road Reports View Fleets - Read-only view of fleets to which access has been granted Manage Geofences Service User Role can be granted
Ehubo Admin (can only be added to Unit Manager):	Manage Ehubos
Unit Manager (Allows full access for vehicles in assigned fleets - no user management. The Allow Geofence Access checkbox is enabled by default, and this role may view/edit geofences.
