Retrospective activity is more a tool than a report. Users draw an ad hoc geofence and specify a timestamp: all EROAD events generated by all vehicles/drivers in that time-space location are listed.
Retrospective activity is often used to investigate public complaints to determine if, when, or where, a driver or vehicle may have been responsible for poor behavior.
The report will list events +/- 1 hour of the selected time.
The geofence cannot be larger than 1 km2 (100 ha, or 0.39 mi2)
To create a retrospective geofence:
- Select the date and time you want to view
- Click Ok
- Zoom in on the desired area of the map
- Click the Polygon or Square
- Draw over the desired area
- Click View Activity
All vehicles that were in that geofence in the specified time will appear in a list.
If the area drawn is larger than 1 km2 the notification that the area is too large is dismissed when you’ve re-drawn a new area under 1 km2.
If no results are returned, try adjusting the time period or the geofence you have drawn if you are certain about the time.
Each vehicle entry has a link taking you to the Daily Activity report where you can examine its events.
