EROAD Inspect

EROAD Inspect is a mobile/smartphone/tablet/Ehubo app that allows users to conduct pre-trip inspections on vehicles and assets as part of the company’s service and maintenance regime. EROAD Inspect is a free app to download, but requires a subscription to operate.

Overiew

  • At head office, inspection templates for your trucks and trailers are created, and applied to qualifying vehicles.
  • When drivers conduct an inspection, they follow the template, sequentially visiting key points to ensure they're compliant.
  • Defects logged by the driver are sent to a workshop, where they're able to schedule services and order parts prior to getting the vehicle into the workshop.
  • The vehicle is serviced and made available.
  • The vehicle's next driver reviews each reported defect and certifies it repaired or still failed. If Still failed the vehicle is re-entered into the service cycle.

Mandatory requirements

  1. Confirm with EROAD support that your current plan is compatible.
  2. Set up Driver profiles.
  3. Set up Vehicles and Assets.
  4. (Optional) Set up Email Notifications on failed status defects.

Notes

EROAD recommends that you inform health, safety, maintenance, and fleet managers to:

  1. Set up Failed Inspect notifications in MyEROAD, so they are informed right away when a defect needs to be remedied.
  2. Set up a daily task to review the Defect Board in Depot periodically to see if anything new has been submitted from your drivers.
