EROAD Inspect is a mobile/smartphone/tablet/Ehubo app that allows users to conduct pre-trip inspections on vehicles and assets as part of the company’s service and maintenance regime. EROAD Inspect is a free app to download, but requires a subscription to operate.
Overiew
- At head office, inspection templates for your trucks and trailers are created, and applied to qualifying vehicles.
- When drivers conduct an inspection, they follow the template, sequentially visiting key points to ensure they're compliant.
- Defects logged by the driver are sent to a workshop, where they're able to schedule services and order parts prior to getting the vehicle into the workshop.
- The vehicle is serviced and made available.
- The vehicle's next driver reviews each reported defect and certifies it repaired or still failed. If Still failed the vehicle is re-entered into the service cycle.
Mandatory requirements
- Confirm with EROAD support that your current plan is compatible.
- Set up Driver profiles.
- Set up Vehicles and Assets.
- (Optional) Set up Email Notifications on failed status defects.
Notes
EROAD recommends that you inform health, safety, maintenance, and fleet managers to:
- Set up Failed Inspect notifications in MyEROAD, so they are informed right away when a defect needs to be remedied.
- Set up a daily task to review the Defect Board in Depot periodically to see if anything new has been submitted from your drivers.
