Manage organisational details

My Organization is a fundamental feature-enablement, API register, and configuration hub. What appears and the order of appearance will change from company-to-company, depending on region, feature configuration, and enabled service plans.

Changing these details will have widespread implications, possibly resulting in feature degradation, performance degradation or data loss. Make changes as needed, but do so with the permission and authority of company leaders and – if necessary – communications to end-users about the results of the changes.

Changing details

While the features presented will be different from company-to-company, changes to those features are fairly uniform: click a feature’s Edit button, and enter relevant information into the fields.

Common features

Details

The base company identity details. Some details are mandatory for payment or compliance, claiming off-road travel refunds, or other services, depending on jurisdiction or sector. Consult your local jurisdiction for more info.

Access/ SSO

Configure how new and existing users may sign in. Single Sign-On (SSO) way be enabled in this featureset.

While the My Org featureset is only accessible by your Client Admin, EROAD recommends that this setting be set by someone with both the knowledge and authority to make InfoSEC changes.

IP Access Control List

The IP Access Control List provides organisations with a security tool to limit where MyEROAD can be accessed from, by specifying the list of permitted IP addresses (computer locations). If no IP addresses are set up then users can access MyEROAD from any computer location using just a valid user name and a password.

This feature is enabled with a Client Admin request to support@eroad.com.

No access would be possible for Mobile devices while outside the WLAN network of the allowed IP address.

The  IP address entered should be a static IP address so the user can reliably log into MyEROAD.

It is the user’s responsibility to ensure that IP addresses entered are valid.

Partner Gateways

API names and links are created for OpenAPI/Swagger-generated API keys, to share data with 3rd party suppliers, like fuel and tire agencies.

Partner Gateways is a legacy feature maintained to ensure compatibility for existing customers. EROAD would prefer customers use the Integrations service for more secure, robust API management.

Contact EROAD about having the Integrations service enabled for your company.

Clarity/ Clarity Edge Dashcam settings

Solely used to enable/disable audio recording for customers with dashcams (Default: Disabled).

Consider Union/privacy policies and data storage limitations before enabling audio – enabling audio marginally decreases the storage capacity on a dashcam’s MiniSD cards, and adds to a customers data retention burden.
