Use cases

You can retrieve valuable EROAD data for importing into other systems. The following use cases illustrate the endpoints available.

DESCRIPTION USE CASE

Vehicle Location The vehicle current state endpoint enables you to retrieve current vehicle state, location and other valuable information.

- Integrate EROAD tracking into a proprietary tracking/dispatch system, so it continuously polls for vehicle locations.

- Integrate EROAD distance readings into a proprietary maintenance or a lease module, so it queries daily/weekly readings.

Driver Hours of Service The hours of service endpoints enable retrieval of US Hours of Service, (e.g., driver duty time, work availability) for an organization.

- A third-party partner can integrate Hours of Service data into a relevant TMS system to display driver availability.

Manage Vehicles / Fleet      The vehicle and fleet endpoints enable access, modify and delete vehicles within EROAD for an organization.

- Connect your back end asset management systems to automatically maintain vehicle information to avoid unnecessary and inefficient manual effort.
