 2024 Activity Details

The Details tab shows operational and categorical information about a vehicle, and – if logged on – some current driver details.

It also contains links to important activities, including:

  • Time: Tapping time changes panels to History, middles the last route driven by the vehicle on the map, and animates the trip.
  • Google Maps: Find the vehicle on Google Maps. (This link opens a new browser windows and takes you offsite to Google’s own service.)
  • Battery level (EVs only): Reports approximate charge on the vehicle or asset.
  • Messages: Opens a panel for you to compose a message to the driver of the vehicle.
  • Manage vehicle/asset: Takes you to MyEROAD’s Manage vehicle panel, to change or configure its properties.
  • Daily Activity: Opens the Daily Activity page, containing operational readouts of the vehicle for the last 24 hours.
  • Event logs: Presents the Event log – filtered by that vehicle – containing various timestamped movement, connectivity and location data.
  • Driver Logbook hours: The vehicle’s logged-on driver is listed, with an at-a-glance readout of the vehicle’s driver’s hours. (See NZ Logbook for more.)
  • Driver profile: Takes you to the logged-in Driver profile page.

Note: Some items – eg. Logbook – might not be displayed as they are plan-dependent, vehicle/asset-dependent, require driver login, and/or are only available on subscription.

History tab

The vehicle’s History tab provides a route breakdown for trips made on a selected timestamp.

 2024 Activity History tab

Once the vehicle has been selected, tap History. This panel opens.

  • Timestamp field: select a timestamp for which a trip took place. Use the < > butons to step back/forward a day.
  • Ignition ON, Distance, Site visits: Totals for that day.
  • Expand all: Each trip consists of several events, including Ignition on, Idle, geofence entries/exits, etc. You can reveal each trip one at a time with a trip’s UP/DOWN chevron buttons, or expand all trips at once with this toggle.

Tapping a trip opens up its Trip event log. Additionally, the map shows an animated route line.

Tapping any event in the Trip event log displays the location on the map, along with trip arrows, showing where location and event data was logged geographically.

 2024 Activity Posted speeds

Request video: Available with appropriate dashcam plans, this opens the Request video window to enter video specifications.

Investigate: Reveals the Event Investigator. This set of timelines presents event detections, depending on the ability to present them by vehicle or plan.

… Submenu: Where you submit a posted speed review, should you need to qestion a difference between what a road’s stated speed and what the in-cab device is reporting as the posted speed.

Important scenarios
